Overview

Niduo brings together in a single app what at home usually ends up scattered across notes, messages and memory: who does each chore, what needs buying and what is on the menu each day.

It is an installable app (PWA) that works the same on mobile and desktop. Chores renew themselves every week and can rotate between the two people.

The same API runs on Cloudflare Workers with D1 or on Node with SQLite. The current version is deployed on its own server, with passkey sign-in.

Key features

  1. 01

    Recurring chores

Weekly or every N weeks, assigned to one person, to anyone or on rotation. The weekly renewal is idempotent and tested across DST and year changes.

  2. 02

    Shopping list

Quick entry (“2 kg potatoes”), suggested category, duplicate detection and a weekly history of what was bought.

  3. 03

    Weekly menu

Lunch and dinner from Monday to Sunday, with copying from the previous week and up to four weeks ahead.

  4. 04

    Passkey sign-in

No passwords: invite-based sign-up, passkeys, sessions and recovery codes.

  5. 05

    Telegram notifications

Notifications to a shared household group, with retries, quiet hours and commands such as /lista or /hoy.

  6. 06

    Tested and accessible

154 unit and integration tests, E2E on mobile and desktop, and a WCAG 2.2 AA audit with no violations on every screen.

Role and responsibilities

My role

Design and development

  • Layered architecture: routes, services and SQL repositories, with shared Zod contracts.
  • Mobile and desktop interface, installable as a PWA, with light and dark themes.
  • Passkey authentication, per-household permissions and encrypted backups.
  • Self-hosted deployment and unit, integration, E2E and accessibility testing.
